We often get questions from teachers about whether they can use audio-visual material from websites to teach classes.

The answer varies, depending on what type of material you want to use.

For the answer to using material such as podcasts and vodcasts in Powerpoint presentations, have a look at:
www.copyright.org.au/information/wp0262

For the answer to using YouTube videos to show in class, have a look at:
www.copyright.org.au/information/wp0032

Remember that if you need to agree to terms and conditions in order to access material on a website, you will generally be bound by those terms and conditions.

For more information on what you can do under the CAL and Screenrights licence, have a look at our information page for educators at www.copyright.org.au/information/ wp0003
